7. Extremely rare Baccarat clematis bouquet weight. A vine containing three white clematis blossoms, with complex red, white and blue star/six-pointed star cane centers, entwines with a vine bearing two cobalt blue clematis blossoms, with red and white stardust/bull's-eye cane centers, above a star-cut ground. This rare and attractive design is the only recorded one of its type. Diameter 3". $12,000-15,000

8. Very rare Baccarat chocolate and emerald snake weight, the black-eyed reptile, containing emerald coils decorated with an intricate chocolate quatrefoil pattern, poses on a sandy ground flecked with bits of green glass and mica. These weights' appearance is often spoiled by an air ring that appeared around the snake's body during encasement. This example is notably pristine. "Reptiles were relatively rare among the animal motifs of the classic period, although they were common symbols of renewal and youth."-Glass Paperweights in The Art Institute of Chicago. see detail p. 59. Rare Baccarat butterfly over clematis weight, the insect, with flattened millefiori wings formed from arrow/quatrefoil canes, marbled in shades of ruby, royal blue, cadmium green, orange and yellow, attached to a translucent amethyst body with a black head, turquoise eyes and black antennae, hovers over a white double clematis, with a star honeycomb center, on a stalk with green leaves, above a star-cut ground. 10. Very rare Baccarat stardust carpet ground weight including six-pointed star, arrow, cog, shamrock, quatrefoil and trefoil canes, in coral, orange, yellow, plum, cadmium green, cobalt blue, ruby and turquoise, in a sea of red and white stardust canes. The piece includes the Gridel silhouettes of a deer, dog, horse, moth, pheasant, goat, elephant and rooster. It contains a rare flower portrait cane identified by Hawley as a blue flax. "Carpets formed of sparkling white stardust canes make brilliant settings in which the colored canes stand out like gems."-Paperweights: "Flowers which clothe the meadows". Very rare Baccarat dated blue and white cog carpet ground weight with complex arrow, cog, trefoil, stardust, shamrock and six-pointed star canes, in coral, ruby, yellow, cadmium green and cobalt blue. The piece includes the Gridel silhouette canes of a goat, dog, swan, rooster, butterfly and pheasant, set in a sea of cobalt blue and white cog canes with emerald centers. B1848 signature/date cane. 12. Rare Clichy concentric millefiori piedouche weight with circlets of stardust and pastry mold canes, in pink, cobalt blue, cadmium green, white and yellow. The arrangement is set in a footed cobalt blue and white stave pedestal.
