13. Rare Bacchus close
packed millefiori weight with complex ruffle, cog, and
six-pointed star canes, in yellow, ruby, wintergreen, mauve,
cobalt blue and white, inside a crystal dome with a circular
top facet and three rows of circular side facets. "A good
mixture of stars and cogs in this paperweight, with allover circular
facets. The base is slightly concave with the pontil ground off."-Old

14. Very rare Saint Louis
looped garland colorground weight, a propeller-shaped
design containing loops of salmon bundled tubes and white complex
star canes, emanating from a complex salmon, white and cobalt
blue crimped cane, on an opaque turquoise ground. "Saint
Louis looped garland weights are quite rare."-The Art

15. Clichy quatrefoil garland
colorground weight containing a looped quatrefoil of
white, pink and cadmium green pastry mold/bulls-eye canes,
centered on a large pink and white pastry mold cane. Complex
white stardust/quatrefoil canes have been placed outside the
loops of the garland. Large pink complex cog canes decorate the
interior loops of the garland. "Whether woven to celebrate
love, victory or merely beauty, the millefiori garlands found
in patterned spacing schemes are among the most graceful and
delicate ornaments found in paperweights."-Paperweights

16. Clichy cobalt
blue colorground star pattern millefiori weight with
two concentric star-shaped garlands of bulls-eye, cog and
star-shaped canes, in pink, white and cadmium green, around a
central complex pink cog cane, on an opaque cobalt blue ground.

17. Clichy spaced
millefiori colorground weight with a pink and green rose amidst
complex pastry mold, cog, stardust, bulls-eye, star, and
edelweiss canes, in pink, cherry, cadmium green, cobalt blue,
amethyst, Indian yellow, chocolate and white. The arrangement
decorates an opaque Persian blue colorground. From the Winters
collection. Diameter 2 11/16". $2000-4000

18. Clichy scrambled
millefiori weight with a pink and green rose amidst whole
and broken canes, including complex pastry mold, cog and bulls-eye
canes, in cobalt blue, thalo blue, Naples yellow, ruby, watermelon,
pink, lilac, white and cadmium green. "The only slightly
curved cushion is usually placed fairly high and, though composed
of a variety of colored canes, has a predominance of green that
makes it resemble a tossed salad, the roses chopped up like red
cabbage, bright yellow canes diced like hard-boiled egg, etc."-The
