25. Bohemian spaced millefiori pinwheel crown weight containing complex cog and star canes, in mint, pink, cobalt blue, ruby and white, arranged on a bed of alternating cobalt blue and white pinwheels. Cullet on some of the canes. "These are a cross between the Clichy swirl weights and the Saint Louis crowns; that is, they are constructed like a crown weight, but the balloon of striped tubes is opaque like the members in a swirl weight, as if the spokes of a swirl had been straightened."-The Encyclopedia of Glass Paperweights.Diameter 2 5/8". $3000-3500

26. Clichy blue and white swirl weight, the alternating pinwheels, in thalo blue and white, emanating from a pink, white and cadmium green cog/pastry mold cane. "Clichy artisans were keenly aware of the optical properties of crystal, and they exploited them to the fullest in their swirl weights. Under the magnification of the dome, whirling millefiori pinwheels create a scintillating visual illusion. They form a dramatic ground for the millefiori cane."- The Art of the Paperweight-Challenging Tradition.

The entire proceeds from the sale of this anonymous donation will go to support the newly-established International Paperweight Society Foundation Museum, a non-profit organization devoted to enriching the art form.see detail on p. 63. Diameter 2 9/16". $2000-2500

27. Clichy pink and white swirl weight, the alternating pinwheels, in pink and white, emanating from a fuchsia, white and cadmium green pastry mold cane. "Contained within paperweight spheres, swirls seem to be captured in mid-spin, their momentum unspent. Colorful and dramatic, they have an energy and appeal quite different from those of delicate, millefiori gardens."-Glass Paperweights in The Art Institute of Chicago.Diameter 2 5/8". $1800-2500

28. Very nice Clichy close packed millefiori weight with two yellow roses, two pink and green roses, a pink and white rose, three white roses and a green rose, amidst pastry mold canes, six-pointed star canes, edelweiss canes, florets, bull’s-eye canes and cog canes, in pink, thalo blue, cobalt blue, cadmium green, white, ruby, cherry, Naples yellow, lilac and amethyst, set in an alternating turquoise and white stave basket. Diameter 2 9/16". $5500-6500

29. Clichy close concentric millefiori weight, with a chain of nine pink and green roses amidst complex cog, quatrefoil, bull’s-eye, pastry mold, floret and six-pointed star canes, in pink, cobalt blue, lavender, turquoise, lime green, pale yellow and white. An annealing crack runs around the outside of the piece near the base of the canes. A cord of glass is visible from the side, but not the top. "Roses are common in all and complete rings of roses are frequently seen in the finer weights."-The Encyclopedia of Glass Paperweights.Diameter 3". $4000-5000

30. Clichy close concentric millefiori piedouche weight with complex pastry mold and cog canes, in cobalt blue, pink, white, cadmium green and pale yellow, set on a swirling white latticinio pedestal with an unusual pentagonal foot.
