43. Good Baccarat close packed millefiori weight with the Gridel silhouettes of a rooster, deer, goat and dog amidst six-pointed star canes, whorl canes, arrow canes, trefoil canes, quatrefoil canes, fortress canes, cog canes, shamrock canes, honeycomb canes and bull’s-eye canes, in cobalt blue, ruby, turquoise, salmon, leaf green, emerald green, yellow, mauve and white. "‘Close’ millefiori refers to the close vertical packing together of the canes, like people in a dense crowd. The patchwork quilt of one hundred or one hundred and fifty canes in a close millefiori paperweight offers a sampling of many or most of the canes made by a factory, and treats the eye to an almost endless variety."-Glass Paperweights of The New-York Historical Society.Bubble in the dome. Diameter 2 7/16". $2500-3000

44. Nice Baccarat circular garland millefiori weight with circlets of white and green stardust/bull’s-eye canes, alternating with red, white and blue cog/six-pointed star canes, around a central arrow/six-pointed star cane, encircled by a row of complex cog/stardust canes. Complex cog and arrow canes decorate the center of each circlet. Diameter 2 3/4". $1000-1500

Spokes of pastry mold, cog and edelweiss canes divide circlets of pastry mold, cog and stardust canes, in pink, watermelon, lilac, cobalt blue, cadmium green, forest green and white. Complex canes decorate the center of each circlet. Cullet in the glass visible on the side of the weight beneath the canes. "Many garland weights contain both simple pastry-mold canes and complex florets with extremely detailed, minutely reduced interiors in a close association that is striking in its contrasts."-The Encyclopedia of Glass Paperweights.Diameter 3". $2000-3000

46. Saint Louis patterned millefiori garland weight with five complex six-pointed star canes, in pink, cadmium green and white, around a central six-pointed star/cog cane. The canes float above a grid-cut ground in a crystal dome with a circular top facet. Diameter 2 5/8". $400-600
