169. Parabelle Glass 1997 Sweet Expression close concentric millefiori weight. Pink and green roses, and white and green roses, emanate from a large central rose, on a white lace ground, with edelweiss and cog canes in emerald and white. Signed and dated. Limited edition of 10. "Gary Scrutton first began working with glass in the 1940s. 170. Parabelle Glass 1997 artist’s proof rose moss millefiori weight with circlets of pastry mold and bell-shaped canes, around a central smoldering heart, placed inside a garland of tiny stars. The center of each bell-shaped cane contains a hidden yellow rose. The center of each pastry mold cane, in an inner circlet of canes, contains a hidden pink pansy. The arrangement decorates a green moss ground studded with tiny white roses. Signed and dated. Diameter 2 7/8". $900-1200

Parabelle Glass 1994 artist’s proof Allegro upright bouquet weight with three flowers, in pink, yellow and turquoise, each with a complex millefiori center, arranged on a bed of emerald green leaves flecked with green aventurine, in a swirling latticinio funnel basket, with an encased pink and white filigree ribbon handle. Signed and dated. "Doris Scrutton primarily creates the setups for the millefiori designs. The design is set on a pink and white stave basket, decorated with a fancy pink, white and cobalt blue spiral torsade, around the exterior of the design at the top and the foot. "Gary has developed a highly sophisticated glass studio with computers regulating the temperatures of the furnace and the glass formulas.
