187. Perthshire Paperweights
1993 magnum concentric millefiori weight with a central
blue double clematis encircled by rows of complex cog, six-pointed
star, quatrefoil and square-shaped canes, in pink, amber, yellow,
blue, turquoise, grass green, pistachio and white, on a translucent
blue-purple ground. Circular top facet with three rows of circular
side facets. The design includes a special PMcD signature cane
identifying Perthshire master gaffer Peter McDougall as the maker.
Signature/date cane. Limited edition of 50. "Perthshire
Paperweights was founded in 1968 by Stuart Drysdale, a Scottish
country lawyer and businessman, who died in 1990. The factory
is located in Crieff, a small farming community in central Scotland."—The

188. One-of-a-kind Perthshire
Paperweights 1978 encased double overlay clematis weight, the
flower, with five blue petals around white stardust stamens,
grows on a stalk with an opening bud and green leaves. The design
nestles on an opaque pink cushion, inside a fancy-cut, clear-encased,
red-and-white double overlay. The exterior of the piece is decorated
with four and one faceting. Signature/date cane. From the Winters

1979 pink flash overlay hollow seal weight with a circus
seal balancing a red and white ball on its nose, as it rests
on a swirling red and white stand. The display is set in a pink
flash overlay with a circular top facet and two rows of side
facets. P signature cane. Limited edition of 275. (See The

Paperweights 1994 ruby flash overlay floral basket weight, containing
an orange-speckled yellow blossom and a blue-speckled white blossom,
on stems with four closed buds, inside a ruby flash overlay cut
to resemble a basket. The arrangement is set on a clear grid-cut

Paperweights 1997 fantasy flower bouquet weight containing
four fantasy flowers with complex millefiori centers, in amethyst,
pink, yellow, sky blue, orange and white, on gathered stems with
closed buds and green leaves, over a star-cut ground, inside
a blue flash overlay cut with a circular top facet and three
rows of oval-shaped side facets, interspersed with diagonal flutes.

flower, with pointed white petals around yellow stamens, on stems
