Signature cane. Limited edition of 300. "Sometime in 1967 I was sent from the States a copy of the drugstore magazine ‘Woman’s Day’ published in 1965, which contained a magnificent article on the weights of the Bergstrom Art Center and Museum. I nearly choked. Up to that time I knew nothing of the existence of antique weights and as Paul Hollister said in his book, I thought ‘Baccarat was a card game and Saint Louis a town on the Mississippi River. ’ I thumbed through that volume and compared the pieces with the junk and rubbish with which I had been so proudly familiar for the last seven years. I showed it to the craftsmen and they, as all craftsmen do, said, ‘We can do as well as that, ’ and I said, ‘Do it. ’"—Perthshire Paperweights’ founder Stuart Drysdale, The Art of the Paperweight—Perthshire.(See The Complete Guide to Perthshire Paperweights,p. 54) Diameter 3 1/8". $300-450
