Caithness Glass/Whitefriars/Margot Thomson 1996 Pansy weight, the flower, with purple upper petals and blue lower petals around a central complex cog cane, grows on a stem inside a tiara of green leaves, over a swirling amber ground, inside a garland of amethyst and white cog/quatrefoil canes. 206. Caithness Glass/Whitefriars/Rosette Fleming 1998 Alpine Summer weight. A central black-striped orange-red clematis blossom is encircled by two orange-red blossoms, a white blossom and closed buds, in this design inspired by traditional Swiss embroidery. Signature cane. Signed. Limited edition of 50. Five and one faceting with fancy half circles attached to the top facet. 207. Caithness Glass/Whitefriars/Rosette Fleming 1997 Pretty in Pink weight. A pink millefiori butterfly flutters past a white daisy, two pink lilies and a yellow blossom on green, yellow and white stems, with pink and yellow buds over an opaque pink ground. Geometric cutting around the top and sides, with a special facet that allows the piece to be displayed upright or in the traditional paperweight manner. Signature cane. Signed. Limited edition of 50. This flower, a member of the primula family, is sometimes called ‘Bear’s Ear’ because of its distinctive petal shape. Circular top facet and oval side facets alternating with circular facets on the side. Signed. Limited edition of 50.
