Eisenhower sulphide weight with a side-view cameo of the thirty-fourth United States president based on the image displayed in his campaign medal, as sculpted by Gilbert Poillerat, on a grid-cut ground. 264. D’Albret 1970 Prince Charles sulphide weight with a front-view cameo of the prince in full regalia, as designed by Gilbert Poillerat, on a translucent purple ground. Inscribed "H. R. H. Prince Charles" on the base of the cameo. Top and side facets with a diamond-cut base. Acid etched with the company’s insignia. Limited edition of 1000. "The engraver Gilbert Poillerat, who had worked extensively with sulphides at Baccarat, began making sulphides for d’Albret in 1968. Roosevelt sulphide letter weight with a cameo of the thirty-second United States president, as sculpted by George Simon, on a translucent purple ground inside a small circular plaque. Signed. "George Simon, a well-known engraver for the French Mint, was the first artist to create sulphide cameos for the factory. D’Albret 1967 green flash overlay John F. and Jacqueline Kennedy sulphide weight with a cameo of the United States president and his wife, as sculpted by Gilbert Poillerat, on a fancy starburst-cut ground inside a translucent green flash overlay. Four and one faceting with fancy starburst-cuts on the sides. Acid-etched signature on the bottom of the piece. Limited edition of 300. "D’Albret sulphides are produced in both regular and overlay editions. The arrangement is set in a gray-over-white double overlay with eight and one faceting. Signed. Limited edition of 200. "Weights are signed on the base with acid-etched letters arranged in a circle reading ‘CR. D’Albret—France’.
