Lot 85
Rare Emil Larson magnum yellow crimp rose paperweight,
ca. 1940, with four opaque lime green leaves, in mint condition,
containing all of the characteristics of a Larson crimp rose:
i.e. approximately 16 petals surrounding a prominent central
stamen. The size, let alone the vivid color of the rose, is audacious.

Lot 86
Millville desk set with ink-well and matching paperweight,
with a three-dimensional umbrella in the paperweight, inkwell
base, and matching stopper, each having panels of royal blue,
teal and red over white. Collared, circular foot; pontil mark.
Attributed to Emil Stanger, ca. 1900 (See The Art of the Paperweight,
p.57, plate 3.27).

Lot 87
John Degenhart pink crimp rose paperweight with mottled
pink and white petals. The naturalistic wavy edges suggest a
real petal still unfolding, supple and delicate (See The Encyclopedia
of Glass Paperweights, p. 248). From the A. Christian Revi collection.

Lot 88
American turquoise cross on a rock paperweight framed
by the inscription "ROCK OF AGES" in blue print, on
opaque white ground; circular top facet.
"Midwestern glass factories were established following the
discovery of natural gas, which provided a constant fuel source.
Paper-weights have been attributed to the Pittsburgh area, to
many factories in Ohio (Ravenna and Zanesville are among the
better known), and to Indiana."-Glass Paperweights of
the Bergstrom Art Center.

American frit paperweight with a cozy house, front
yard and leaf-bare tree, and the inscription "HOME SWEET
HOME," over a wavy, multi-colored ground.
"(V)ery popular... were those beds of granular chips of
colored glass that formed the background for presentation and
anniversary weights...bearing the inscriptions 'To Mother,' 'My
Father,' 'Home Sweet Home'..."-The Encyclopedia of Glass
Paperweights.
