red currants and green leaves growing from a slender branch,
on opaque white ground; circular top facet. The cut of the facet
suggests an elegant bowl, filled with the harvest of plump trompe
l'oeil berries. 1992 signature/date cane.

Saint Louis red cherries with green leaves paperweight,
informally arranged on a swirling white latticinio cushion; faceted.
1975 signature/date cane. The faceting again is employed to multiply
the "freshly picked" fruits, and the latticinio adds
delicacy to the composition. Limited edition of 450.

central signature/date cane and green leaves on swirling white
latticinio; six and one facets. The transparent quality of the
petals, and laciness of the ground emphasizes delicacy. The clematis

Saint Louis millefiori garlands paperweight, with
alternating loops of white and blue canes around a complex center
cane, on red ground. The loops swing around the central cane
in a teardrop shape. The two colors stand out strongly on the
tomato red of the ground, and appear to be spinning, as if they
were a pinwheel prompted by a burst of air. 1973 signature/date
cane. Limited edition of 400. Diameter 3 1/8". Estimate:

Saint Louis Bicentennial commemorative American eagle
sulphide paperweight, on cobalt blue ground; red-over-white
double overlay with five and one facets. A dramatic composition:
the eagle with fasces in its talons, alert and independent in
its cobalt blue enclosure. The stately elegance of the paperweight
suggests the richness of Federal-style design. Limited edition
of 400 in 1976.
