Baccarat warbler perched atop a flowering branch paperweight
with pink complex cane "cherry blossoms" and green
leaves on aqua ground; dated 1989. This French design seems to
be informed by Chinese watercolor in its blithe, gestural composition.

red bud, green leaves and stems on clear, star-cut ground; 1976
signature/date cane. A vivacious lampworked blood-red rose, presented
boldly against a crowning radiance of facets. LE of 150.

Lot 205
Baccarat three lampwork flowers paperweight, one blue,
one pink and one pale pink, and green leaves on dark translucent
aqua ground; six and one facets. The minimal design of three,
reminiscent of traditional Japanese ikebana flower arrangement,
brings drama to each of the small flowers. The dark depths of
the ground, enhance the effect. 1970 signature/date cane.

Lot 206
Baccarat close packed complex millefiori paperweight,
with zodiac silhouette canes. 1970 signature/date cane. The
design is similar to the antique Baccarat Church Weight.
"In October, 1951, a magnificent millefiori paperweight
was found in the cornerstone of the old parrish church at Baccarat...
(it) contained 233 millefiori canes... The discovery of the 'Church
Weight,' as it has come to be called, helped rekindle interest
in paperweight making at Baccarat."-All About Paperweights.

Baccarat multi-tiered yellow and red striped dahlia paperweight,
with green leaves, on translucent blue ground; 1972 signature/date
cane.
