D'Albret Paul Revere sulphide paperweight.
The cameo is inscribed with the artist's initials (G. P.) and date (1969). This fierce, grimacing portrait of the silversmith and patriot seems to be straight out of Longfellow's epic and mostly fictional poem. On translucent gray, sunburst-cut ground; top facet and eight oval side facets. Limited edition of 800. Etched "CR. D'ALBRET-FRANCE" on bottom of piece.

D'Albret John James Audubon sulphide paperweight;
the cameo is inscribed with the artist's initials (G. P.) and date (1972). Encased in a robin's-egg blue-over-white double overlay. Audobon's illustrations in Birds of America (c. 1840-1844), remain an unmatched achievement by any American artist or naturalist. On clear star-cut base with facets and fancy cutting on the sides. Limited edition of 225. Etched "CR. D'ALBRET-FRANCE" on bottom of piece.

D'Albret General Douglas MacArthur sulphide paperweight;
the cameo is inscribed with the artist's initials (G. P.) and date (1968.). On translucent green, sunburst-cut ground; top facet and eight oval side facets. Limited edition of 1500. Etched "CR. D'ALBRET-FRANCE" on bottom of piece. "We are not retreating, we are advancing in another direction." -General Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964).

Baccarat Marquis de Lafayette sulphide paperweight;
inscribed "B. GP 1955," one of the early cameos designed by Poillerat for Baccarat. A rebel-loving, French noble, Lafayette heard about the struggling colonies at a dinner party, and sailed immediately to fight alongside Washington, although he had no previous military experience. Six and one facets. The grid-cut base is accented with translucent blue flash overlay. Limited edition of 744 in 1955.

Baccarat Dwight D. Eisenhower sulphide paperweight;
six and one facets with special cutting into the top and side facets. Over a fan-shaped, star-cut base. Limited edition of 1389. Signed/dated 1956. "I think that people want peace so much that one of these days government had better get out of their way and let them have it." -Dwight D. Eisenhower.

D'Albret President John F. and Jacqueline Kennedy sulphide paperweight,
inscribed "CA GP 1969" over a clear, sunburst-cut base; emerald green flash overlay with fancy faceting. Limited edition of 300. Etched "CR. D'ALBRET- FRANCE" on bottom of piece. "Most of d'Albret's sulphides were designed and sculpted by Gilbert Poillerat… Born in 1902, Poillerat studied decorative arts at the College Technique Boulle in Paris.
