Antique Clichy spaced millefiori paperweight, with
a central pink and green rose, amidst moss, cog, pastry mold
and star-shaped canes in pink, cherry, purple, ruby, green and
blue colors. "The Clichy factory was particularly adept
at choosing color combinations. Through their definite selection
and contrast of colors, Clichy weights perhaps rate as the finest

*Antique Clichy spaced millefiori colorground paperweight,
with a central complex ruby pastry mold cane, in the distinctive
flared style Clichy canes were known for, arranged with a great
feast of cane styles, including a rare white and green rose cane,
quatrefoil, star, cog, and whorl canes, and a rare silhouette
of a pelican, possibly Baccarat in origin, all on rich, opaque
turquoise ground. -See The Glass Menagerie, p. 32.

Lot 17
*Antique Clichy C-scroll garland paperweight with
a large central pink and green Clichy rose, the arrangement composed
of six 'C'-shaped millefiori garlands and three concentric rings
of cog and pastry mold canes surrounding the center rose, in
purple, cherry, pink, green, and one garland of eighteen pink
and white roses, on clear ground. "Coloring is richer
and warmer than Baccarat and more decisive than Saint Louis.
Clichy rose canes are numerous and may appear in variety and
