with a blue and white primrose, a white and blue stylized flower, a red and white stylized flower, fifteen green leaves and a red and green bud.

Lot 38
*Unusual antique Baccarat or Saint Louis flower paperweight,
set in clear glass, with five cobalt blue petals outlined in white, which surround a center of five red stamens, inside a burst of yellow. The large bloom comes off a curved stem with several green serrated leaves, four of which just peek out from behind the large petals, and two blue and white buds. Star-cut base. The stem has separated.

*Antique Baccarat garlanded thousand-petaled rose paperweight, t
he clear glass set with a flower formed of numerous shaded, red, recessed petals, growing from a curved green stem, with two leaves and a stylized paler red ribbed clematis about a white stardust stamen and red whorl cane center. There are six leaves about the rose along with a red bud. The motif is encompassed by a garland of white stardust canes, with red whorl cane centers alternating with green, red, white, and
yellow pastry mold canes; painted red enamel accession number 1965.427. [Sotheby's New York, Jan. 1995, Sale #6656 "Important Paperweights Property of the New-York Historical Society," Lot 246.] See Glass Paperweights of the New-York Historical Society, p. 61, color plate 43.
