Lot 49
Unusual antique Baccarat faceted pansy paperweight, the
bottom three petals are impressionistically achieved, done in
a dark blue with centers of lemon yellow. The two larger petals
are dark amethyst, and overlap in a natural manner. The leaves
exhibit good color and veining, while a plump stem angles at
the bottom. The stamen is made of a complex star and whorl cane,
while a garland of star, arrowhead, whorl and fortress canes,
in red and green, and blue and white, encircles the flower. Star-cut
ground and overall faceting.

Lot 50
Antique Baccarat clematis paperweight, set in clear
glass, a two-toned, six-petaled flower with deep veining in the
white of the petals, pleasingly set-off by the inner petals of
cranberry red. Four green leaves crown the flower, while two
wave on its stem, and a white starburst and red bull's-eye stamen
balances the design at the center. Over star-cut ground.

Antique Baccarat miniature flower paperweight, set
in clear glass, with eight salmon-pink, ribbed petals, around
a white stardust and green bull's-eye cane, on a stem with five
lettuce green leaves, on a star-cut base. A leaf has separated.

Antique Baccarat faceted butterfly and millefiori garland
paperweight, featuring a well-centered butterfly, composed
of flattened canes for its colorful wings, an eggplant purple
abdomen and whimsically large blue eyes. It hovers above tumbled
latticinio, adding to the airy motif, with six and one faceting.

Lot 54
*Antique Baccarat faceted ruby-flash overlay patterned
millefiori paperweight, with six circlets of complex canes
arranged around a central circlet of complex millefiori. The
outer circlets alternate between complex cogwheel and pastry
mold canes, which feature stardust or arrowhead canes at center,
and the center circlet is composed of a ring of bull's-eye/star
canes, with a stardust/bull's-eye cane inside. The overlay has
been cut with a top facet and two rows of side facets, and the
piece has a star-cut base. Minor chips and scratches. [Sotheby's

*Antique Baccarat faceted garlanded butterfly paperweight,
the marbled wings comprised of flattened millefiori canes,
floating inside the crystal enclosure, and framed with a garland
of green floret canes alternating with white stardust canes,
over star-cut ground; six and one faceting.
