shown holding a sword, with her helmet resting on a tree stump,
framed with oak and laurel branches. Multi-faceted on a translucent

Antique Baccarat concentric millefiori paperweight,
composed of four concentric rings of complex millefiori, in red,
blue, white and green, surrounding a complex floral cane made
to resemble a multi-petaled Clichy rose, framed by hollow white
star canes. Over clear ground.

Lot 71
Baccarat Dupont concentric millefiori paperweight dated
"1847", attributed to maker Dupont, circa 1930s. "His
work shows that he was doing everything he could to recapture
the spirit if not the letter of the Classic Baccarat weights,
and his near success is testimony to his skill. Yet the trained
eye spots the difference immediately- the color schemes of the
canes, magnifying properties of the glass, shapes of the weight
are all different… Baccarat sold these weights through a
small retail shop next to the Hôtel Montalembert until
1933 or 1944 when Dupont died." See The Art of the Paperweight,
