Antique Saint Louis latticinio and gilt vase, with
patterns of ivy, which have worn off from being handled, at its
slender mid-section. The ivy motif may have suggested this piece

Lot 118
Antique Baccarat crystal tumbler, with enamel-on-gold
foil inclusion of two delicate flowers, one a new pink rose and
the other a full-bloom pansy. The rose, long a signifier for
affection, complements the pansy (derived from the French, "pensée"),
which conveys the floral meaning of kind thoughts. This small
vessel would be a gift communicating, "think of me with
affection." Elaborate cutting.
Height 3 3/4". $1000-1400 |
