Lot 115
Antique Saint Louis crystal decanter
with floral stopper, clear faceted crystal, with a blue and white spiral torsade around the lip, waist and foot of the decanter. The importance of having a fine crystal wine decanter in a French household cannot be dismissed, and Saint Louis spared none of their pieces attention from top to bottom.
Height 12 3/4". $3500-5000

Lot 116
Antique Saint Louis latticinio and gilt vase,
with patterns of ivy, which have worn off from being handled, at its slender mid-section. The ivy motif may have suggested this piece was originally made as an engagement gift, as ivy meant "friendship, fidelity and marriage" to the bathetic Victorian.
Height 13 13/16". $1500-2000

Lot 118
Antique Baccarat crystal tumbler,
with enamel-on-gold foil inclusion of two delicate flowers, one a new pink rose and the other a full-bloom pansy. The rose, long a signifier for affection, complements the pansy (derived from the French, "pensée"), which conveys the floral meaning of kind thoughts. This small vessel would be a gift communicating, "think of me with affection." Elaborate cutting.
Height 3 3/4". $1000-1400
