Lot 180
Lundberg Studios upright red poinsettia paperweight, encircled
by a ring of spaced red and green Clichy-type roses on snowy
ground. "In 1974 Lundberg Studios began producing an
entirely new form of paperweight. Called the California Paperweight
Style (or torchwork), it represented a hybridization of two antique
styles-the art nouveau 'icepick' technique and the lampworking
procedures found in French paperweights. This process is the
culmination of almost twenty years of development and is mainly
the work of Steven Lundberg and Daniel Salazar, with notable
contributions early on by James Lundberg, Mark Cantor, David
Salazar and Chris Buzzini." -All About Paperweights.
Signed by Daniel Salazar. Diameter 2 5/8". $300-450 |
