Andrew Fote three-dimensional "Hound of the Baskervilles"
magnum cylinder paperweight, with a snarling dog hunched
over skulls and bones, and the base of the sculpture clad in
copper. Fote, whose glasswork is always exploring the interior
and exterior extremes, has colored his figures before encasing
them in glass, and the piece is significant for both its size
and the accomplished encasement technique. Signed. Diameter 4

Andrew Fote three-dimensional sea turtle paperweight,
a play on the tradition of the Classic era paperweights,
with molded snakes and lizards coiled on a dome, the sculpture
of the turtle breaks the clear, round glass surface, just like
a pool of water, with the pebbled ground interior of blue, aqua,
black and orange rocks. Signed.
