with a golden-yellow tang fish and seaweed over a swirling blue and white ground; signed by designers Scott Beyers and Bruce Sillars. Limited edition of 100. "'When I first came to Orient & Flume, there was an explosion of techniques all around me.' Beyers says, 'I wanted to do them all and I'd get excited just thinking about it. There was so much to learn. Creative ideas have always been freely exchanged here, and this is where I learned to design in glass.'" -Orient & Flume website.

Lot 304
Vasart transparent glass vase
in an oblong shape, with aventurine accents around the lip, blending down into the body surface, covered with sea green dappling. "…Some early Vasart production used colors and gold aventurine brought with the Ysarts from the Moncrieff factory (but) the supply was limited and soon they were forced to find other sources. The family were well versed in the chemistry of glass and purchased raw chemicals to make their own colors." -Ysart Glass.
Height 5". $300-500

Lot 305
Vasart glass vase,
with a round bottom and fluted mouth, shaded in a pale indigo color, streaked down the vase and mixing with a cloudy, paler blue at the base. Etch-signed 'Vasart' on the bottom. "The strong, powerful and dramatic color schemes popular in the homes of the 1930s were being replaced by more delicate, softly muted colors and much of Vasart production reflects this change." -Ysart Glass.
Height 3 7/8". $350-550
