Lot 75
Antique Clichy millefiori scramble paperweight, with
whole and broken canes, including a partial large pink rose,
a much smaller rose without sepals, green moss cane, and floret
and pastry mold examples in abundance. The colors are quite varied
and rich, of particular interest is an auburn cane on the edge--along
with different blues, ruby to cherry reds, and yellows. See The
Art of the Paperweight, pp. 79-80.

*Antique Clichy chequer paperweight, with 18 spaced
millefiori canes divided by white latticinio twists, florets
and pastry mold canes. "The Clichy factory was especially
adept at choosing color combinations. Through their definite
selection and contrast of colors, Clichy weights perhaps rate
as the finest of the three factories in their effect."

yellow and green center, a bud and green leaves, on clear ground.
From the natural-looking leaves, rich petal coloring, and the
expressive pansy face--this is a glass mimic with immense charm.

Antique Clichy circular garlands and spokes paperweight,
with central white cane encircled by a ring of pink cog canes,
surrounded by six circular garlands, divided by six radiating
millefiori spokes, on clear ground; complex cane at the center
of each garland. One garland is composed of eight pink and green
rose canes.
