*Antique Clichy pentafoil millefiori garland paperweight
on clear ground. An airy design with cross, floret, star,

Clichy. "Over the next decade, Clichy continued to enjoy
a period of growth and success, and in 1851, as the only French
factory to show at the Crystal Palace in London, received international
acclaim. It has been suggested that Clichy glassworkers were
hired by English firms to set up similar production lines because
its glass was so highly regarded." --All About Paperweights.
