with pink, green and white tricolor swirl, and complex millefiori center, comprised of cogs and rod canes. In homage to the great Clichy swirls, this design confidently circles the anchor cane in popular colors of the decade. Signed "P1980" in cane. Limited edition of 244.

Lot 234
*Perthshire Paperweights 1977 nosegay paperweight,
comprised of three millefiori flowers centered on a swirling pink and green latticinio cushion. The latticinio is wonderfully done in this small weight, and the ends pulled under give the eye an impression of a double-swirl. It creates a complex interior for the piece, another reason to handle the glass, and turn the object round and over again. Signature cane in base and paper label. See The Art of the Paperweight: Perthshire, p. 69. Limited edition of 315.
Diameter 2 1/2". $300-400

"Without a doubt, Perthshire has played a major role in stimulating a resurgence of interest and appreciation for fine paperweights." --The Art of the Paperweight: Perthshire. Signature and date cane on base and paper label. Limited edition of 300.

Lot 236
*Perthshire Paperweights 1975 "Tudor Rose" paperweight,
with a four-petaled lampwork rose having a circular stem and leaves, surrounded by a ring of eight spaced millefiori on translucent cobalt blue ground. It's no surprise that a glasshouse dedicated to the craft of paperweight design from the Classic-era, would feature some of contemporary glass' best millefiori work. Even when used sparingly, the canes' remarkable variety is evident. Signature cane at the rose's center, a signature and date cane in the base and paper label. Limited edition of 400.
Diameter 3 1/8". $350-450
