Chris Heilman 1999 Iris Garden vase. Blending lampwork
and torchwork techniques, Heilman creates distinctive silhouettes
of iris heads on long green leaves, growing from a garden of
assorted flowers, over pebbled green and white glass. The scene
is encased with a translucent gold interior. Signed/dated.

Parabelle Glass 1993 close concentric complex millefiori
basket paperweight, with red and white staves crimped to
resemble a basket, and a red and white twist-ribbon handle; signature/date
cane. Limited edition of 10. "When I developed my studio
I decided to figure out how to make millefiori weights. There's
more mystery for me in millefiori than in lampwork, and at that
time there was no one in this country doing that type of work.
I had no technical information about the process, except in the
most general terms, and that added to the challenge. I also had
people tell me that I could not do it--and that's the wrong thing
