Lot 297
Randall Grubb "Reflections" glass column sculpture,
with five, yellow-centered, pale pink daisies and green leaves
on long brown stems, encircled by a cluster of brown-speckled
beige rocks. Signature cane. In an article titled "The Creation
of a Feeling in Glass," Grubb comments on the artistic process
for this important series: "The creation of a Reflection
demands a complete dedication to the process unlike any that
I have ever experienced. You reach a point in the artistic process
where you forget about how much time it takes to make a piece,
or how much physical pain you inflict on yourself to create it.
The only important thing is to create the finished piece."
-Glass Collector's Digest (Vol. IX, No. 6).
