Ray Banford floral basket paperweight, containing a radiating, circular, upright
bouquet of alternating pink and white cabbage roses and dark
green leaves, over diamond-cut ground, within a clear, fancy-cut
basket that includes two tilted side facets and an engraved torsade
on the basket handle. "Ray creates beautiful full dimensional
flowers, especially roses and iris, often enhanced by fancy faceting
and cutting which add brilliance to the lovely designs
Among the most popular are the overlays cut like a basket to
reveal the floral bouquets inside. The author's favorites are
the clean baskets where the form is suggested only by the cutting."
